The Department of Sports, Arts and Culture has given the sport of car spinning in South Africa a R5-million injection.
The funds will be used to promote and grow the sport.
Various corporate partners have also come on board to sponsor the sport.
Sports Minister Gayton McKenzie announced the funding at an event in Cape Town.
This is the first time that spinning is getting money. As Im speaking to you now, Im sure the transfer has arrived already in their accounts. They have satisfied all the requirements expected from a federation just as we helping SASCOC, just as we helping Cricket SA, just as we helping the different sporting codes, we are now helping Spinning SA.
