Public Works Minister Dean Macpherson has rejected a joint report concerning the completion of the Sarah Baartman Centre of Remembrance in Hankey, Eastern Cape.
The joint report from the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure (DPWI) and the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture, was presented this week.
Macpherson has called for an urgent meeting with Sport, Art and Culture Minister Gayton McKenzie.
According to Macphersons spokesperson, James de Villiers, the report was submitted to the Portfolio Committee on Sport, Arts and Culture on Tuesday.
De Villiers said despite significant financial investment since the tender was issued in April 2014, only 37% of the construction has been completed, with the project facing various setbacks.
