Osagie argued that Okpebholo lacked a clear vision for the state's development and was using political theatrics and meaningless probes to distract from his own shortcomings.
Osagie described Okpebholo's actions as a spectacle designed to deceive the people of Edo State, comparing it to a gladiatorial duel in the Ancient Roman Colosseum. He also mocked the establishment of a 14-member State Assets Verification Committee to investigate Obaseki's tenure, which Osagie dismissed as laughable. He defended Obasekis administration, noting it was widely praised for being transparent, accountable, and prudent, calling it one of the most effective governments in Nigeria's history.
