The Save South Africa civic movement has accused President Cyril Ramaphosa of inaction with regards to the death of children over suspected contaminated food.
In July, the organisation wrote to the President urging him to declare this a state of emergency .
Six children from Naledi in Soweto died last month after being exposed to a pesticide containing a harmful organophosphate.
This after they ate snacks they bought from a local spaza shop.
However, it emerged that the pesticide was not in the packet of chips found in one of the childrens pockets.
