Premier League Releases Statement On Two Disallowed Goals As Chelsea Beat Tottenham

The Premier League has explained why two goals were cancelled as Chelsea edged Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 in a Premier League game on Thursday night.
In a statement, it was confirmed that Moises Caicedos shot was chalked off after a VAR check because his team-mate Levi Colwill had strayed into an offside position.
Caicedos effort came minutes after Enzo Fernandez had headed the Blues into a 1-0 lead.
VAR checked the referee's call of goal - and established that Colwill was in an offside position in the build-up and recommended that the goal was disallowed, the Premier League wrote on its X account.
Pape Matar Sarrs long-range effort was also cancelled after another VAR check.
