The Premier League has claimed John Stones late winner against Wolves was initially disallowed due to Bernardo Silva being in an offside position.
However, following a VAR check, the goal was allowed to stand as the champions won 2-1.
The VAR deemed Bernardo Silva wasn't in the line of vision and had no impact on the goalkeeper and recommended an on-field review.
The referee overturned his original decision and a goal was awarded.
Jorgen Strand Larsen had given the hosts the lead, before Josko Gvardiol drew City level before the break.
