Pp Clears Ramaphosa In Rdp House Handover During Anc Campaign

Public Protector Kholeka Gcaleka has cleared President Cyril Ramaphosa of any wrongdoing in the Donkerhoek RDP house handover during an ANC campaign.

The Public Protector investigated a complaint against President Ramaphosa, for alleged maladministration and abuse of power.

Gcaleka briefed the media in Kwa-Mhlanga, Mpumalanga.

She says the President made submissions to her office and after considering all relevant information she concluded that there was no evidence he breached the Executive Ethics Code and violated the constitution.

"Investigations into allegations of maladministration and abuse of power by the President of the Republic of South Africa, Mr MC Ramaphosa regarding his conduct when he allegedly handed over a Reconstruction and Developments Programme house to Ms Martha Louw in Donkerhoek, Northern Cape, during the African National Congress Letsema Campaign held on the 1st of October, 2022, is unsubstantiated," says Gcaleka. - By Xoliswa Makhikhi and Patricia Visagie
