Power Struggle Erupts At Safa As Nec Moves Against Danny Jordaan - Reports
According to reports, SAFA president Danny Jordaans hold on his position appears increasingly tenuous as a faction of the National Executive Committee NEC is poised to propose his resignation in favour of Irvin Khozas interim leadership.
This critical meeting, scheduled for Saturday, marks a significant turning point as it is the first NEC gathering since Jordaans appearance in court last year on fraud charges.
Bhudha Mathathe, a prominent member of the NEC, speaking to the website, confirmed the brewing discontent among certain members of the committee who are lobbying vigorously for Jordaan to step aside.
There are reports that some members are even suggesting that he should refrain from chairing the meeting entirely.
This rare move highlights the growing fracture within the leadership of Safa as it grapples with scandal and the need for renewed credibility.
