A Limpopo police officer accused of killing nine civilians for insurance claims amounting to R10-million, intends to plead not guilty to all charges against her.

Sergeant Rachel Kutumela has testified at the Polokwane Magistrates Court where she is applying for bail.

Kutumela also told court that if released on bail, she would not interfere with investigations, as she has not done so for over a year when she became aware that she was under investigation.

Her co-accused, her daughter and sister, each face three counts of murder, money laundering and benefiting from the proceeds of crime.

Kutumela says she had a cordial relationship with the person who is alleged to be her first victim, Noko Mantja.
