Police Launch Manhunt For 17 Suspects After Kzn Heist

Police are searching for 17 suspects following Tuesdays cash-in-transit robbery on the N2 Highway near the NPC cement factory in Durban.

They believe the suspects approached a cash-in-transit vehicle, accosted and then assaulted two security guards.

According to police, the suspects then robbed the security guards of their firearms, before stealing an undisclosed amount of money.

Police say they will leave no stone unturned until they have apprehended all the suspects involved.

The heist left one woman dead and at least 12 other bystanders and commuters wounded.
