The Eastern Cape Department of Transport and Community Safety MEC Xolile Nqatha has commended the police for arresting four suspects allegedly linked to the brutal murder of 18 people in Lusikisiki two weeks ago .
The suspects were arrested earlier on Wednesday at Port Shepstone in KwaZulu-Natal.
The MECs spokesperson Makhaya Komisa says Nqatha also expresses gratitude to the public for providing information that led to their arrests.
"MEC Nqatha is of the firm view that, the arrest of these four wanted suspects will bring a sigh of relief to all the people of this province and the entire country. The MEC also believes that the arrest of these perpetrators will also bring hope to the bereaved families as they are desperately seeking closure and justice."
