Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the fatal shooting of a man at a Mexican restaurant in Fort Lauderdale , authorities confirmed Wednesday.
According to investigators, Cesar Esquivel Estrada, 46, was taken into custody Tuesday by the Fort Lauderdale Police Department's Fugitive Unit and the U.S. Marshals Service. An arrest warrant had been issued for Estrada the previous day, police said.
The shooting was reported just before 1:30 a.m. Monday at Antojitos Mexicanos, located at 3943 Davie Blvd.
Fort Lauderdale police Detective Ali Adamson said officers arrived at the scene and found 54-year-old Socorro Camacho with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
