Two 19-year-olds have been arrested following a fatal gang-related shootout that occurred over the summer in Miami's Little Haiti neighborhood, authorities confirmed.

According to their arrest reports, Symarri Williams, of Miami Gardens, and Sheldred Johnson, of Miami, were both taken into custody Thursday after warrants were issued for their arrests.

They each face charges of second-degree murder.

According to the warrants, officers responded to the area of Northwest Second Avenue and 52nd Street just after 6:45 p.m. on July 1 after receiving two ShotSpotter alerts for a total of 30 rounds of gunfire.

Police said officers found one shooting victim, 24-year-old Andre Mitchell, lying in the swale beside a blue Nissan Altima and another man, identified as Alfred Vickers II, also 24, nearby suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
