The much-anticipated Soweto derby matchup between Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs is just over two weeks away - and there were 46,000 tickets still up for grabs as of 11h35 on Tuesday 14 January.

The Betway Premiership game will be played at the FNB Stadium on 1 February 2025. Kick-off is slated for 15h30.

Thousands of Soweto derby tickets available

A total of 79,940 tickets were made available for the legendary fixture, according to an update on X by sports journalist Karabo Selebalo Phasha.

Just before midday on Tuesday, 33,431 had been sold, meaning there were approximately 46,509 still available.

The Buccaneers, who are currently second on the Premiership table with 27 points from 11 matches, will feel confident of getting the win away at Chiefs home ground.

Amakhosi are sixth on the Premier Soccer League PSL log at the moment, having garnered just 18 points from 13 matches so far.
