Pilots And Saa Are Continuing Negotiations On Outstanding Issues

The South African Airways Pilots Association, the National Transport Movement, and SAA management are still in talks to resolve remaining issues.

It is reported that the parties reached an agreement this morning on a 9.47 wage settlement.

As a result, the association and the movement have called off their strike.

Pilots will resume work while discussions on better working conditions continue.

Aviation expert Guy Leitch noted that this is the first time in history that a strike at SAA has caused major disruptions to airline operations.
