Philadelphia Hospital Murder Suspect In Police Custody

The mental health patient accused of killing another patient at Philadelphia Hospital in Dennilton in the Sekhukhune district of Limpopo has been handed over to the police.

This is according to provincial Health MEC Dieketseng Mashego.

It is alleged that the two mental health patients were involved in an altercation on Saturday morning, which led to the death.

Minister of Health Dr Aaron Motsoaledi is expected to visit the hospital later today.

Mashego elaborates, Some of the police are still here we have managed to remove all the other patients who were on the ward to other wards because the perpetrator is still in the ward, but the police are there with him. We are waiting for the police to take him into custody because he is discharged. He is no longer a patient in this hospital, so now its a matter for the police. They will be taking him.
