A pedestrian is dead after being hit by a private school bus in Sweetwater Wednesday morning, according to police.
According to the Miami-Dade Police Department, the crash happened just before 825 a.m. in the area of Southwest Fourth Street and 109th Avenue, near an apartment building catering to Florida International University students and a small strip mall.
An MDPD spokesperson said medics took the victim to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital, where he or she was pronounced dead.
Authorities said as of 10 a.m. they did not have information on the victim's age or gender.
Video from Sky 10 shows the bus marked as belonging to a company called Lily's School Bus.
