Pdp Crisis Confusion As Nwc Splits, Issue Counter Suspension Orders
ABUJA Confusion best describes the current situation in Nigerias main opposition party the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, following the counter suspension orders issued by factions of the National Working Committee, NWC.
A faction of the NWC led by the Ag. National Chairman, Umar Damagum, yesterday announced the suspension of the partys National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba and the National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade, SAN, for alleged insurbordination.
In the meantime,the Deputies in the respective Directorates, Ibrahim Abdullahi and Barr Okechukwu Osuoha, have stepped-in in acting capacity.
However, the National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba and the National Legal Adviser, countered with their own statement suspending the Ag. National Chairman, Amb. Umar Damagum and National Secretary, Senator Samual Anyanwu.
