paws on the promenade raises over r37 000 for animal welfare

In a heartwarming display of compassion and community spirit, the Paws on the Promenade event drew an extraordinary turnout this past Sunday. A remarkable total of R37 580 was raised, thanks to the efforts of dedicated dog lovers and their furry companions.

With 295 dogs decked out in a myriad of creative and adorable outfits, they strolled alongside 505 enthusiastic humans along Cape Towns picturesque Sea Point Promenade, covering the scenic route from the Mouille Point lighthouse to the Sea Point swimming pool and back, reports Cape town Etc.

Spokesperson for the Mdzananda Animal Clinic, Marcelle du Plessis, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support received, which is pivotal for the clinics mission to assist sick, injured, and homeless pets in Khayelitsha.

A massive thank you goes out to our loyal sponsor, Vondis Holistic Pet Nutrition, for supporting this event for the past seven years. We're so grateful for the generous goodie bags they provided to the first 150 lucky pups who arrived - tails were wagging with excitement! she commented.

In addition to Vondis, Du Plessis also acknowledged the invaluable contributions of volunteers who worked tirelessly to ensure the events success, as well as the fantastic vendors and generous raffle prize donors who made the occasion even more special.
