Parliament has warned the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee Sascoc that legislative action could be used to enforce compliance.

It has emerged that Sascoc has been ignoring the Portfolio Committee on Sports, Arts and Culture when called to appear.

Chairperson of the committee Joe McGluwa says they have resolved to write a letter to the confederation's management seeking answers for their non-compliance.

McGluwa says, "Sascoc must really come to the party because if this is not happening, then it is also useless for us in having these kinds of meetings. Making these kinds of requests where we sitting with the entity of Sascoc, that really can contribute and assist the nation, South Africa, committee, the Department of Sports, Arts, Culture, to deal with issues that we have."
