Parliament Congratulates 2024 Matric Class

Parliament has joined the country in congratulating the class of 2024 for their matric results . The Portfolio Committee on Basic Education says the results are a reflection of an improvement in the basic education sector.

Chairperson of the committee Joy Maimela was part of four other chairpersons who briefed the media on their achievements and challenges.

"That as a committee we are very happy with the results and we would like to congratulate the class of 2024 for their excellence and encourage, those who did not do well should not lose hope. The results seek a big improvement compared to the 82.9 pass rate compared to 2023. And that this shows the countrys education system is maturing," says Maimela.
