South African sprinter, Mpumelelo Mhlongo has won Team South Africas first medal at the Paralympic Games in Paris and its a gold.
The 30-year-old from Johannesburg won the T44 100 metres at the Stade de France in a seasons best time of 11.12 seconds.
He beat Cubas Yamel Luis Vives Suares by 0.08 seconds.
Eddie Bernard of Malaysia won bronze in 11-point-five-eight seconds.
Mhlongo is the reigning world champion in the event, having won gold in Paris last year.
