Outrage As Walter Sisulu Student Shot In Protest Deemed 'not A Student'

Further outrage among Walter Sisulu University WSU students and the wider community followed the universitys comment on the fatal shooting during the unrest at its Mthatha campus, which left one young adult dead and two others injured, reports Cape town Etc .
Disturbingly, during the course of the protest, a group of people and students forcefully entered a staff members on-campus residence. In the violent incident, the staff members wife sustained serious injuries and is receiving medical care in hospital, the institution said in a statement on Facebook .
The staff member and his young children had to be rescued by police. Precautionary measures have been taken to ensure the safety of other staff members who reside on campus.
Two students also sustained minor injuries during the incident. They were taken to hospital and have since been discharged.
