The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have debunked rumours that they have suspended Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen following his viral social media rant, Soccernet.ng reports.
Last weekend, Napoli star Osimhen took to social media to rant after fake reports that former Super Eagles coach Finidi George had questioned his commitment to the team.
The reigning CAF Champions League Player of the Year spoke about Finidi in a disrespectful manner and cussed at fans who were criticizing him.
That action has caused a lot of controversy in Nigerian football, and some former Nigeria internationals have called for Osimhens head. And on Wednesday, there was news circulating through the media that the NFF had decided to suspend the Super Eagles star.
However, the NFF have come out to debunk such claims. According to the release by the highest football governing body in Nigeria, they are focused on resolving the lingering issues surrounding the Super Eagles.
