Police arrested a 33-year-old man after they said he robbed a victim at gunpoint to steal his electric scooter in Opa-locka early Monday morning.

According to an arrest report from the Opa-locka Police Department, Marcellus Dixon is facing one count each of armed robbery with a weapon, illegal possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and illegal possession of a weapon while committing an offense.

At approximately 3:30 a.m. Monday, detectives said they responded to a home on Lincoln Avenue to meet with the victim regarding an armed robbery that occurred near the 14000 block of Northwest 21st Court.

The victim told police he had received a phone call from his girlfriend to meet with Dixon about a debt owed to Dixon, according to the report.

Johnson, who recently moved out of Dixon's residence, arrived at the home on his electric scooter, the report stated.
