Remo Stars head coach Daniel Ogunmodede has no intentions of sitting back against AS FAR in the second leg of their CAF Champions League preliminary first-round tie on Sunday.
The Sky Blue Stars recorded a 2-1 win in Sagamu at the weekend to avenge the defeat they suffered at the hands of the Militarians in the CAF Confederation Cup two seasons ago.
Goals from Nduka Junior (19) and Sodiq Ismail (67) handed Ogunmodedes side a slender advantage ahead of the return leg at the Moulay Hassan Stadium in Rabat, although Joel Beyas 50th-minute reply gave the Moroccan giants hope.
Ogunmodede admits he needs to work on their transition from attack to defence and insists he will take the fight to the hosts in a bid to reach the second round of the continental competition for the first time in the clubs history.
We were poor in the first 10 minutes of the second half, conceding a goal, which isnt ideal. However, were thrilled to secure the three points, aware that conceding a goal makes the second leg more challenging, he said.
