Nwfl: Heartland Queens Captain, Opara Set Target For New Season

Heartland Queens captain, Chimebere Opara, has expressed optimism ahead of the start of the 2025 Nigeria Women Football League NWFL season.

Opara believed that with the quality of players in the team they can record a successful campaign.

DAILY POST recalls that Heartland Queens finished fifth in the championship playoffs last season.

"Of course, we are more determined this time around than ever to contest for the podium after our superlative performance last season.

"We cannot aim for anything less than a podium dance finish, we have the material, players, coaches and support of our amiable governor and commissioner to aim for the highest height, Opara told Sports register.
