Nw Mec For Transport Welcomes High Court Ruling On Removal Of Brp

The North West MEC for Transport Management, Wessels Morweng has welcomed the ruling by the High Court in Pretoria on the removal of the Business Rescue Practitioner BRP.
The judgment was handed down electronically on the 27th of this month, enforcing the initial ruling that removed the BRP from North West Transport Investments.
The entity has been marred by financial difficulties and governance collapse.
The BRP that was appointed was not good for the company. It does affect the normal running of the company which included the workers as they were the most hard-hit, including the commuters. What we are going to do from now on is appoint the new BRP, put systems in place so that the company can go back to its former glory, importantly for it to create more employment for youth, people living with disabilities and women so that we can be able to make sure we reinstate the company," says Morweng.
In January, North West Transport Investment employees spoke of their frustration and pain after not having been paid.
