Ghana FA Cup champions Nsoatreman FC have squashed speculation that Maxwell Konadu is set to leave the club after being linked with a move to South Africa.

Konadu impressed in his debut season at Nana Professor Koromansa II Park, guiding the team to a fourth-placed finish in the Ghana Premier League and winning the cup competition to secure their maiden piece of silverware.

Reports emerged on Monday that the former Ghana assistant coach had accepted an offer from Black Leopards, who compete in the second tier of South African football and are plotting a return to the DStv Premiership after a three-year absence.

However, Nsoatreman FC General Manager Eric Alagidede has quashed the rumours, telling the Ghanasportsnews website that Konadu remains committed to the cause and plans to oversee their first-ever campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup next term.

The 51-year-old tactician still has 12 months left on the two-year contract he signed in July 2023 and has no intentions of jumping ship now, according to Alagidede.
