The Nigerian Referees Association NRA has called on the Nigeria Football Federation to increase the welfare package for match officials ahead of the 2024-25 League season.
The NRA President, Sani Zubairu, made the appeal at the 2024 Annual General Meeting of the Association in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
Zubairu, emphasised the necessity due to the rising cost of living in the country.
He expressed gratitude to the NFF for its support and the timely payment of match indemnities for referees during the 2023/2024 season.
Zubairu highlighted the need to clear all outstanding entitlements of match officials.
