Npo Holds Event To Help Empower Men To Be Better Fathers

A Non-Profit-Organisation, Doxa Family Cares based in Zwide in the Eastern Cape, has held an event to empower men to curb gender-based violence and become better fathers.

The event was held in Gqeberha. The organisations Executive Director, Thembani Gqiba says it is vital that fathers know the basics of parenting.

It has grown a lot because we have been conducting workshops with fathers and in the process we have discovered that there are so many men that want to be involved, because most of the time it is mothers who do things such as changing nappies and feeding the child, taking the child and meal preparation.
