Northeast leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP have thrown their support behind the recent decision by the Party's Governors Forum over the ongoing national leadership crisis.

DAILY POST recalls that governors elected under the Peoples Democratic Party yesterday annulled the suspensions of some National Working Committee members and restored the status quo to when the acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum led a unified NWC.

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed who doubles as the Chairman of the Forum, stated that there was no longer a faction within the PDP National Working Committee, noting that operations had returned to normal under Damagum until the governors and other party bodies meet to address all outstanding issues.

Speaking on the development after its meeting in Bauchi, on Wednesday, the Zonal Working Committee and States Chairman expressed confidence that the move will help stabilize the party and strengthen its future.

In a communique issued after the meeting, the leaders also commended the PDP governors for their infrastructural developmental efforts and reaffirmed the party's role as a beacon of hope for addressing Nigeria's current challenges.
