A thirty-year-old man who allegedly poisoned his two-year-old son will appear in the Stilfontein Magistrates Court in the North-West tomorrow.
Police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel, Amanda Funani says the man took his two children aged 8- and 2-year-old from their mothers home for a visit. He called a day later threatening to harm the children.
The mother then called the childrens grandmother who informed her that they were on the way to hospital after the suspect allegedly poisoned himself and the two children. The two-year-old was in a bad condition. It was later discovered that the eight-year-old child was not affected as he did not swallow what the father gave him. The two-year-old died in hospital.
