The Confederation of African Football CAF has confirmed that Morocco will host the 2024 edition of the CAF Women's Champions League Finals, Soccernet.ng reports .
This premier women's club football tournament will take place from November 9-23, 2024, making it the second time Morocco has hosted the event after a successful edition in 2022.
A total of eight elite clubs will compete for Africa's top prize in womens football. The winners will take home an impressive 400,000 approximately N654 million, while the runners-up will receive 250,000 N408.7 million.
Among the teams vying for this prize is Edo Queens, who will represent Nigeria after a stellar 2024 season that saw them claim their first-ever Nigeria Women's Football League NWFL title.
Edo Queens extended their dominance to West African football after the Benin-based side won the WAFU B CAF Women's Champions League Qualifiers.
