Nigerias Super Eagles caretaker coach, Augustine Eguavoen, is gearing up to announce his final 25-man squad for the 2025 African Nations Championship CHAN qualifier against arch-rivals Ghana, Soccernet.ng reports .
This selection follows two phases of intensive training camps held in Abuja, where Eguavoen and his team evaluated 70 players from Nigeria's domestic league.
According to SCORENigeria, the chosen squad will undergo a final round of close training in Abuja after the Super Eagles complete their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin and Rwanda.
The first leg of the CHAN qualifier against Ghana will see Nigeria's home-based Eagles travel to face the Black Stars between December 20 and 22.
A week later, the reverse fixture will take place in Abuja. In the last edition of the CHAN qualifying cycle, Ghana prevented Nigeria from making it to the tournament, adding extra intensity to this years matchup.
