Visitors to Kumbali Country Lodge in Malawi will soon enjoy a new private game reserve currently sourcing and relocating animals in the final stages of establishment.
Situated 10 minutes from Lilongwe city centre and 25 minutes from Kamuzu International Airport, Kumbali Country Lodge has 16 thatched suites and a conference centre.
Earlier in August, the lodge announced the arrival of its first animals (two male and female zebras) and stated this was the beginning of a journey to creating a diverse and thriving ecosystem with commitment to conservation.
The park is not yet open to the public as it must monitor the animals adjustment to their new environment. It is expected to open later this year when the team is confident the animals are well-settled and healthy.
Plans are in place to introduce additional animals from locations such as Kuti Wildlife Reserve and Game Haven within Malawi and further locations such as reserves in Zimbabwe.
