Nersa Sees Strong Opposition To Eskoms Proposed 36 Tariff Hike

The public hearings in Gauteng held by the National Energy Regulator of South Africa Nersa have faced significant opposition to Eskom's proposed 36 tariff increase.

Eskom has applied for a 36 hike in tariffs for the 2025/2026 financial year, as well as additional increases of 11 and 9 for the following two years.

Nersa has been traveling across the country to gather public feedback on Eskom's request, with a decision expected by the end of this month.
