The National Energy Regulator of South Africa Nersa says it has rejected Eskoms 36 tariff increase application.
The power utility applied for a substantial increase in August.
Nersa says its decision to reject the application comes after consultation with stakeholders.
There was wi despread criticism of Eskoms tariff increase application.
Eskom had asked for a 36 increase in electricity tariffs for the 2025 financial year.
