Negotiations To Relocate Communities Along Moloto Road Ongoing

Transport Minister Barbara Creecy says they are negotiating to relocate communities that reside along the Moloto Road to make way for upgrading of the road.

Creecy has inspected the progress of the upgrade project in Marble Hall in Limpopo.

The crash-prone Moloto Roads upgrade budget has ballooned from R3.7 billion to R15 billion.

Construction of the 139-kilometer road that connects Limpopo, Mpumalanga, and Gauteng province started in 2015.

Creecy says several communities who have encroached on the road have been identified in Limpopo and Mpumalanga.
