Ncc Investigates Reports Of Overbooking By Flysafair
The National Consumer Commission NCC has announced that it has launched an investigation into low-cost carrier Flysafair. The commission says this follows media and social media reports of the airline allegedly overbooking flights.
It says it has contacted the airline to request information to kick start the investigation.
It has urged affected consumers to come forward with information that can assist in their investigation.
In the event where the supply is oversubscribed wherein it is out of their control in the main, they end up with more consumers than they had intended. They need to provide for specific remedies to consumers, including a refund as well as the pain for the consumers for the inconveniences," says National Consumer Commission Head of Complaints and Investigations, Prudence Moilwa.
