Nasarawa United Fan Stabs Plateau United Player After Match

A football fan has stabbed Plateau United striker Vincent Temitope in the neck following their defeat against Nasarawa United during a Nigerian Premier Football League match-day 33 encounter in Lafia on Sunday.

Nasarawa United triumphed in the closely contested match, winning 3-2 against their North Central rivals. After the match, a video emerged showing the player receiving treatment for a neck injury.

Temitope missed a penalty but managed to score a goal during the game.

Plateau Uniteds Director of Media Operations, Yaksat Maklek, confirmed the incident, noting that it directly reacted to Temitopes performance on the field.

Maklek stated that the player was promptly taken to the Federal Teaching Hospital in Lafia for urgent medical attention.
