Nabi Not Keen On Going Back To Morocco
Nasreddine Nabi is believed to have rejected an approach from Raja Casablanca as he is feels confident in his abilities to turn Kaizer Chiefs fortunes around. The Tunisian only joined the Glamour Boys in July following a one-year stint in Morocco with AS FAR, although his tenure has got off to a bumpy start.
Nabi has recorded three wins, three draws and three defeats in the Betway Premiership, while Amakhosi crashed out of the Carling Knockout at the hands of Mamelodi Sundowns in the quarter-finals. The Green Eagles are on the lookout for a new head coach after they sacked Ricardo Sa Pinto on Friday despite claiming a 2-1 win over UTS Rabat less than 24 hours earlier. Sa Pinto had only succeeded Rusmir Cviko at the helm in October, but he paid the price for making a poor start in the CAF Champions League proper which left the team bottom of Group B with just one point after three matches. Raja reportedly signalled out Nabi to get their African campaign back on track, but he remains committed to the cause at Naturena and is convinced Chiefs are heading in the right direction.
I have confidence in my players, I have confidence in the future, we are in the right direction, we are clear, and myself and my technical team are confident, Nabi said after the 2-0 loss to Polokwane City. Kaizer Chiefs are in the right direction, I am 100 per cent sure that we are in the right direction. Dont worry, we need to support players, we need to help them. I know its not easy, this is football, and the only problem is scoring, but I observe the problem of my team and we will get it right.
