N2 Reopens After Truck Carrying Explosives Crashes

Two-way traffic has resumed on the N2 highway in Knysna following a tragic truck accident that claimed the lives of the driver and a passenger, reports Cape town Etc .

The incident, which unfortunately resulted in the tragic loss of the truck's driver and a passenger, prompted swift responses from local emergency services.

Knysna Municipal Manager Lulamile Mapholoba provided an update, noting that a crane truck arrived at 11pm yesterday, accompanied by a cargo truck.

Mapholoba confirmed that the trailer of the overturned truck has already been removed, and the remaining containers, some filled with explosives, have been carefully handled.

The containers were moved to level ground before being lifted onto the cargo truck for transportation.
