Authorities in Mpumalanga have declared war against men who are killing and abusing women in the province. They have launched the 16 Days of No Violence Against Women and Children campaign in Elukwatini.
The provincial government has developed a crime prevention strategy to address this issue. Community Safety, Security and Liaison MEC Jacky Macie is urging communities to work with the government to combat this scourge. He emphasized the importance of community collaboration to identify, isolate, and remove perpetrators from society.
The Badplaas Shelter has revealed that many cases of violence against women and children go unreported.
