More Than 1,600 Learners Yet To Be Placed In Limpopo Schools

More than 1,600 learners are yet to be placed at Limpopo schools. The most affected areas are Polokwane, Mokopane, Tzaneen and Lephalale.

The provincial education department says placements will be finalised by the end of this month.

In a statement, the department says the Pietersburg circuit in Polokwane has the highest number of Grade R and Grade 8 learners that are yet to be placed, at 816.

The department says applications for placement by more than 1,600 learners were only submitted this year.

They say more than 33,000 learners were placed at various schools during the applications and appeals process last year.
