More Businesses Willing To Fund The Anc Despite Electoral Decline
ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa says that the ANC has seen more willingness among business people to fund it despite its electoral decline. In the May 2024 elections, the ANC dropped below 50 in the national elections for the first time in 30 years.
Ramaphosa says that the party is, however, expecting to raise enough money to fund ANC activities.
He was speaking at the ANCs Presidential golf day function in the Rondebosch, Western Cape, as part of the partys 113th anniversary celebrations.
"Much as our electoral vote has gone down, we are finding that there is resurgence of interest and a resurgence of support in the business community. Both black business as well as white business. So, we are really overjoyed we have anchor supporters, he says.
Ramaphosa says that he is also looking forward to hosting countries of the G20 later this year where various issues that include investing in South Africa can be discussed over golf.
