MK Party MP Nhlamulo Ndhlela has described Communications and Digital Technologies Minister Solly Malatsi as an eager beaver, for the way he suddenly withdrew the SABC Bill .
He has also criticised the Minister for board appointments at the State Information Technology Agency, SITA.
Ndhlela spoke last night during the debate on the Budgetary Review and Recommendations Report BRR on the Department and its entities.
The BRR Report was brought to the National Assembly for final approval, subsequently, the MK Party rejected the report.
Ndhlela says, "The Department of Communications and Digital Technologies led by an eager beaver, weaver bird Minister Malatsi has performed dismally. I refer to the Minister as an eager beaver because of his sudden shortsighted withdrawal of the SABC Bill without giving reasons to the portfolio committee, let alone the public. The SITA board is a mess and the Minister has further perpetuated by bringing back aboard and procurement executives through the backdoor, which is implicated in a report of over R1.2 billion fraud."
