mk partys floyd shivambu under fire for meeting fugitive shepherd bushiri

uMkhonto weSizwe MK Party Secretary-General Floyd Shivambu has sparked a social media storm after meeting self-styled prophet Shepherd Bushiri and attending his church service.

In March, a Malawian court ordered Bushiri and his wife Marys extradition to South Africa to face various charges, including rape, violating bail conditions and contraventions of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, Banking Act, Civil Aviation Act, and Immigration Act.

They have filed an appeal, which is yet to be ruled upon.

The couple ran the Enlightened Christian Gathering Church ECG in Pretoria before being arrested and arraigned in court in 2020.

However, they allegedly fled to Malawi soon after being granted bail, forcing the South African government to file an extradition request.
