The uMkhonto weSizwe Party MK Party is holding a media briefing in Durban today to announce its activities ahead of its first anniversary.
December marks a year since former President Jacob Zuma announced the formation of the party.
Based in KwaZulu-Natal, the newcomer to South Africas political landscape obtained the most votes in the province following the May 29th general elections.
Despite this, a Government of Provincial Unity GPU was formed between the the African National Congress ANC, the Democratic Alliance DA, the Inkatha Freedom Party IFP and the National Freedom Party NFP.
The MK Party holds 58 seats at national government level.
