Mk Party Suspends Three Members From Kzn Legislature

The uMkhonto weSizwe MK Party has suspended three of its members from the KwaZulu-Natal KZNLegislature with immediate effect.

Party leader Jacob Zuma and the MKP high command took the decision to suspend Thobani Zuma, Dr. Kwazi Mbanjwa and Sfiso Zuma for what they deem irregularities and transgressions of the partys constitution.

Dr Mbanjwa has been immediately removed as Chief Whip. Their matters have been referred to the National Prosecutor wherein they will be required to make representations at a disciplinary hearing.

Spokesperson Nhlamulo Ndhlela says the MK Party has zero tolerance for ill-discipline and unruly conduct and has advised those suspended to present their cases to the National Disciplinary Committee.

Dr Mbanjwa will step down effectively immediately as the Chief Whip in the province be suspended as a member of the provincial legislature in KZN. Mr Thobani Zuma, whos also a member of the legislature, will effectively immediately also step down from his role as a member of the legislature. And pending the disciplinary hearing that all three members of the party will face through a disciplinary process, a decision will be taken on their future.
